President urges people to follow health protocol

KATHMANDU: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has urged people to follow the health protocol.

Her statement comes at a time after the government’s decision to lift the nationwide lockdown imposed four months ago over coronavirus pandemic.

“The government has eased the lockdown to some extent to bring normality to the people’s daily life. However, COVID-19 pandemic is not yet over,” she tweeted on Wednesday.

The government imposed nationwide lockdown on March 24 and removed it on July 22.

The number of people infected by Corona Virus in the country has reached 18,094 and 42 people have died from the infection so far.
