District Police Office sealed after finding police COVID-19 positive



SYANGJA: The District Police Office Syangja has been sealed after finding 3 police personnel affected with COVID-19 on the day when the government lifted the lockdown declaring the decline in the coronavirus transmission cases.

According to Ganga Bahadur Chhetri, the Chief District Officer of Syangja, the administration has directed to seal the District Police Office, Syangja after finding 3 of its member coronavirus positive on Tuesday.

“After verification of 3 COVID-19 positive cases in the District Police Office, the office is sealed as a precautionary measure taken to prevent the community level transmission,” CDO Chhetri said.

According to him, the administration is contact tracing now and will soon collect the swab of the people who came in the contact of the infection cases.

“We are working on contact tracing and will soon collect and send the swabs of those people for PCR test in Pokhara,” he added.

The police who have tested COVID-19 positive are kept in isolation ward.
