Seven persons injured in a clash over water drainage



MAHOTTARI: Seven persons were injured in a clash between two parties over dispute on water drainage in Mahottari district.

Seven persons, including three women, were injured in a scuffle between two families of locals Chaturi Yadav and Sujit Yadav after they started paving their own way for drainage of water after heavy rains in Sonama rural municipality Ward No. 3, Raghunathpur on Wednesday morning.

Among the injured are local Sujit Yadav, his wife Kiran Devi Yadav, 40, sons Ravi Shankar Yadav, 20, and Harishankar Yadav.

Similarly, Rupesh Yadav, 22, son of Chaturi Yadav, and Varsha Yadav, 40, and her mother were also injured.

The injured are undergoing treatment at Janaki Health Care Hospital in Janakpurdham, police said.
