Pregnant mother rescued by Army helicopter



KATHMANDU: An expectant mother was rescued today by Nepal Army (NA) helicopter from Sappata of Swamikartik rural municipality-1 in the north-east part of Bajura, the district in Sudurpaschim state.

She is local Sharmila Budha, 23, and was taken to Nepalgunj.

The woman was brought to Kolti Primary Health Center which found it challenging to treat her as she had the pregnancy loss issue. She was carrying a dead fetus, center chief Doctor Rajuraj Jaishi said.

Meanwhile, Bajura’s Budhiganga municipality-1 ward chair Rajesh Kumar Singh, 68, passed way today.

As said by ward member Lalit Thapa, Singh collapsed all of a sudden as he was preparing to sit for morning puja at his home after taking a bath and died. He was elected to the post from the Nepali Congress. RSS
