Coronavirus kills 81, 597, infects 2,166,532 in Brazil

KATHMANDU:  The death toll from the coronavirus in Brazil has crossed 81,000 in the last seven months.

According to the latest figures collated by Worldometer, the death toll has reached 81, 597 after 1,346 new deaths were reported.

With new 44,887 cases in a single day, the number of infection cases has surged to 2,166,532 so far.

Currently, 618,965 people are undergoing treatment at various hospitals in the country, of which 8,318 are critical. Meanwhile, 1,465,970 have recovered after treatment.

Broke out in Wuhan City of China on December 31, 2019, the Coronavirus has spread to 13 countries including two international conveyances, killing 619,560 and infecting  15,097,696 people so far.
