Eight containers arrive in Kathmandu with medical supplies from China

KATHMANDU: As many as eight containers with medical supplies arrived in Kathmandu from China this morning by land.

Nepal Army (NA) Spokesperson Bigyan Dev Pandey informed us that the supplies weighing almost eight tons have a total volume of 275 cubic meters.

On Tuesday, the NA brought 18.84 tons of medical supplies by a wide-body plane, and eight tons by land from China.

Meanwhile, 12 containers have already arrived at the Tatopani border point, Pandey said.

It should be recalled that the Nepal Army has signed an agreement approximately worth Rs 2.25 billion with a Chinese government-owned Sinopharm Group to procure around 341 tons of medical supplies from China.
