Police arrest Kailaiya Mayor Yadav for distributing rotten lentils

BARA: Police have arrested Kailya Sub- Metropolitan City Mayor Rajesh Raya Yadav alleging him for distributing rancid lentils in the name of relief package.

Police have initiated investigation and has been interrogating Mayor Yadav about the incident, SP Krishna Pangeni at District Police Office, Bara said.

Earlier, police had arrested 5 ward chairmen, 3 employees and one broker supplying lentils.

Bara Administration Office had on April 11 sealed Yadav Cold Store at ward no 7 of the sub-metropolitan after the rancid lentils were found.

The administration had recovered 380 sacks of lentils.
