Udayapur reports eight COVID-19 suspected cases



KATHMANDU: COVID-19 has been suspected in eight persons of a single village in Udayapur district.

Their samples were tested at the Biratnagar-based Koshi Provincial Hospital. With suspicious results, the samples have been sent to the Dharan-based BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences for further test, said a doctor.

“Their samples have been sent to Dharan for further test,” said a doctor at Koshi Provincial Hospital, “Nothing can be said right now.”

Swab samples were collected from people living in the locality after 13 persons including 12 Indian nationals living at a mosque in Bhulke of the district were confirmed to be infected with COVID-19.
