UML Chair Oli claims UML victory certain in Jhapa

JHAPA: Chairman of the CPN-UML KP Sharma Oli has claimed that his party is certain to win in the upcoming elections, asserting strong voter support in Jhapa.

Speaking to journalists at Chandragadhi Airport on Friday after returning from Kathmandu, Oli said that victory in Jhapa was assured, stating, “Sun’s victory is certain,” in reference to the UML’s election symbol.

Oli said that voters in Jhapa are firmly in favour of the UML and described the election atmosphere as encouraging. He noted increased participation by young people in the campaign, saying that youth have joined spontaneously to ensure the party’s victory.

“It is a positive sign that the new generation is entering politics and showing interest in learning,” he said. Oli added that no conspiracy could prevent the UML’s victory, claiming that the people stand for truth and development. Oli is contesting the House of Representatives election from Jhapa-5.

According to UML Jhapa, cadre meetings have been scheduled in various wards of Kamal Rural Municipality under Jhapa-5 over the next two days. Oli is expected to remain in Jhapa for a week to participate in election-related programs.
