KATHMANDU: Senior leaders of ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) are against the recently-introduced ordinance that is likely to make room for party split.
Echoing with senior leaders at the party secretariat, party influential leader Bhim Rawal demanded repealing of the recently-introduced ordinances dubbing it as ‘untimely and ill-intent’.
Issuing a press release, senior leader Rawal has opposed the the decision to introduce ordinances that divide the people and parties when the nation has to stand together to curb the pandemic.
“Introducing the ordinances that make room for political disintegration, party split and also adversely impact the provision of check and balance in the constitutional council is ill-intent and untimely,” Rawal has said in the statement.
He has recalled how then Nepal Communist Party UML had worked hard to ensure balance in the constitutional council and labeled the latest move as untimely and ill intent.
He has cited that his party then had strove hard to make the provisions that would help in retaining political stability by preventing party split.
Rawal has feared that the latest ordinances could lead the country to political instability making room for the outsiders influence the politics here.
Earlier, the senior leaders at the secretariat had sought PM’s clarification on introducing the ordinances without prior discussion in the party.
