PPE support to traffic police



KATHMANDU: Various organizations have provided personal protective equipment (PPE) to the Metropolitan Traffic Police Division (MTPD).

Raymond Shop and Prabhu Bank handed over 100 units of PPE to MTPD chief, Senior Superintendent of Police, Bhim Prasad Dhakal.

SSP Dhakal thanked them for supporting the traffic police involved in providing service and security to the public remaining in the frontline during the lockdown enforced by the government to prevent novel coronavirus spread.

Sanjaya Adhikari of Raymond Shop said they would assist the people during the time of disaster and expressed commitment to work together with the traffic police in the coming days.

The MTPD has set up a coordination desk along with health personnel under the command of Deputy Superintendent, a quarantine ward and other safety measures for the Traffic Police personnel working at the frontline in the fight against COVID-19.
