Ex-Gurkha soldier dies of COVID-19 in Britain

KATHMANDU: A former Gurkha soldier has died of COVID-19 in Britain.

According to a Nepali language website We Nepali, 66-year-old Lila Bahadur Rai of Sankhuwasabha and currently living in South London died of the deadly virus.

He died while undergoing treatment at Northwick Park Hospital on Tuesday.

A total of 177 people have died of COVID-19 in Britain so far.
