APF constable dragged to court for graft

KATHMANDU: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has dragged an Assistant Constable of Armed Police Force (APF) to court for bribery.

The anti-graft body said Assistant Constable Birendra Prasad Chaudhary deployed at Bishnupura APF base camp in Rupandehi took Rs 6,000 in bribe.

Acting on a complaint that Chaudhary has been demanding bribe from a service seeker assuring to facilitate the trading of household goods, a CIAA team from Butwal had arrested him.

CIAA filed the case against him at Special Court on Tuesday.
