KATHMANDU: The government has decided to set up at least 6,000 isolation beds in hospitals and medical colleges in the Kathmandu Valley.

A Cabinet meeting held at the Prime Minister’s residence in Baluwatar on Thursday decided that the Ministry of Health and Population will coordinate the establishment of the isolation, said government Spokesperson Dr. Yubaraj Khatiwada on Friday.

Kathmandu Valley has seen an alarming spike in the coronavirus cases of late with 182 cases in the last 24 hours.
