Oppo A3 launched in Nepal
Oppo has unveiled the Oppo A31 smartphone in Nepal. The Oppo A31 has been unveiled in two attractive colors: Fantasy White and Mystery Black.
With a 6.5-inch waterdrop display with 720 × 1600 pixels and an 89% screen ratio, this phone offers a high-quality viewing experience. To protect the screen, the company has provided Gorilla Glass 3 in the Oppo A31.
It also has an eye protection screen filter that protects the user’s eyes from harmful blue light. The company says that the thickness of the phone is 8.3 mm to make it easy to use for one-hand operation.
There are three lenses on the back camera of the Oppo A31. The phone’s main camera has a 12MP sensor and F-1.8 aperture that can capture great images even in low light conditions while it has a 2 MP macro lens that can be used to zoom and take pictures of small things, including frosts and flowers.
Along with these two, a 2 MP depth sensor is also been included in the camera that helps to separate the subject from the background and shoot excelled portrait images. It has an 8 MP f / 2.0 front AI beautification camera that helps you take more natural and beautiful selfies.
Hotels to provide minimum wages for workers during lockdown
The laborers and workers in hotel and hospitality sector will get their minimum wages for the lockdown period.
The Hotel Association of Nepal (HAN) and three major trade unions in tourism and hospitality sector have signed a deal ending a longstanding dispute over the workers’ salary for the lockdown period.
HAN said that the agreement was done for the period of April 13 to December 31 by considering that the situation caused by the pandemic coronavirus infection will last till 2020.
As per the agreement, the workers in the hotels would get minimum salaries as per the grading of the hotels. Labourers working in the hotels having 200 plus rooms will get Rs 10,000 per month while the workers of five-star hotels with less than 200 rooms will collect Rs 9,000 per month.
Similarly, the staff of four-star hotels with 100 plus rooms would be given Rs 8,455 per month and Rs 8,000 to those workers employed in the four-star hotels with less than 100 rooms. Likewise, the staff of three-star hotels and resorts will get Rs 5,000 per month, HAN said.
NMB Bank, HEAN sign Memorandum of Understanding
NMB Bank Limited and Herbal Entrepreneurs Association of Nepal (HEAN) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish partnerships in various sectors including capacity building, financial advisory, account operation and loan facilitation of the members of the association.
The MoU was signed by Chief Business Officer Govinda Ghimire on behalf of NMB Bank and Chairman Bishnu Bhandari on behalf of the Herbal Entrepreneurs Association of Nepal. NMB Bank has been providing concessional loans by mobilizing local resources for the development of entrepreneurship including small and medium enterprises, agriculture, water resources and other sectors that support the sustainable development of the country.
Landslide disrupts Syapru-Rasuwagadhi road
The Syapru-Rasuwagadhi road section that leads to Rasuwagadhi chekpoint has been disrupted due to a landslide triggered by incessant rain.
According to District Police Office, Rasuwa, a landslide occurred at Kulung area along the Syapru-Rasuwagadhi road section, disrupting the road.
Preparations are underway to clear the road, said DSP Indra Prasad Subedi. The road section has been disrupted time and again since the monsoon started.
