One more infected with COVID-19 in Lalitpur



KATHMANDU: A woman living in Lalitpur district has been infected with COVID-19.

Speaking at a regular press briefing on Sunday, Prof. Dr Jageshwor Gautam, spokesperson at Ministry of Health and Population informed that corona infection has been confirmed in a woman of Lalitpur on Sunday.

She was diagnosed with COVID-19 after her swab test was conducted at the laboratory of Shukraraj Tropical and Infectious Diseases Hospital.

According to him, the health condition of infected woman is normal, and she is under the care of health workers.

Similarly, Nepal has reported 421 new coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours.

The Ministry of Health and Population stated that with the addition of the cases, Nepal’s tally has reached 9,026 as of Sunday afternoon.

Among the newly-infected, 357 are males and 64 females, said Spokesperson Dr. Jageshwor Gautam speaking at a regular press briefing this afternoon.

Meanwhile, 194 COVID-19 patients — 186 male and 8 female — have been discharged from different hospitals in the last 24 hours after recovering from the virus. With this 1,772, have been discharged across the country so far.
