Nepal extends suspension of domestic, int’l flights until June 14



KATHMANDU: The government of Nepal has extended its suspension on domestic and international flights until June 14 in response to the impact of the coronavirus pandemic.

A meeting of the High-Level Coordination Committee for the Prevention and Control of COVID-19 on Wednesday decided to extend the suspension on domestic and international flights considering the increasing impact of COVID-19 in the country.

The government had earlier decided to seal the border and suspend flights until May 31.

Meanwhile, the government of Nepal has already extended the lockdown period till June 2 as the country continues to witness an increase in the number of coronavirus cases.

Nepal has been under lockdown since March 24.
