MYAGDI: Nine persons were injured when a jeep they were traveling in fell down the road in Raghuganga Rural Municipality-4 of Myagdi today morning.

The injured have been identified as Bhadevi Garbuja (41), Sukmaya Garbuja (36), Minja Pun (9), Hamaya Pun (30), Man Bhadur Tilija (50), Yubi Garbuja (7), Tamina Sherpunja (12), Barsha Sherpunja (3), and Ashim Garbuja (5), from Dagnam in Raghuganga-4, according to Police Inspector Dhruba Prasad Sharma, spokesperson at District Police Office, Myagdi.

The jeep bearing registration plate Ga 2 Cha 5988 en route from Dagnam to Beni fell some 12 meters down the road in Panakot.

The injured were taken to Beni Hospital. Two critically injured, Minja Pun and Bhadevi Garbuja, were referred to Pokhara-based Manipal Teaching Hospital for further treatment.

An investigation into the incident is underway, police said.
