KATHMANDU: Chairman of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Prime Minister KP Oli and Executive Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ have reached a four-point agreement to resolve the party’s dispute in Karnali Province.

According to Prime Minister’s Press Adviser Surya Thapa, Oli and Prachanda reached the agreement on Tuesday morning.

They have reached a deal regarding the withdrawal of no-confidence motion against Chief Minister Mahendra Bahadur Shahi, annulling the decision of Chief Minister Shahi to remove Gulabjang Shah as Chief Whip, annulling the decision to appoint Sita Nepali as Chief Whip and to take necessary decisions based on advice and understanding.

It should be noted that PM Oli had earlier instructed leaders from Karnali Province to implement the decision to be reached after discussions between him and Prachanda.

Prime Minister Oli had given the directive after he was briefed by the province leadership in Baluwatar on Saturday about issues after a no-confidence motion was filed against Karnali Chief Minister Shahi.
