‘Tourism industry witnesses RS 60 billion loss due to pandemic’



DAMAULI: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Yogesh Bhattarai has said that roles of youth in the nation building process were imperative.

Addressing a virtual interaction program organized by Rotaract Club of Pokhara Fishtail City, Rotarcat Club of Rupandehi and Rotaract Club of Tinau-Butwal and Rotaract Club of Damauli on Saturday, Minister Bhattarai argued that the national development and prosperity could be achieved with the entrepreneurship of youth.

He also said that the government was ready to assist the youth to ensure their participation in productive sectors.

On another note, Minister Bhattarai shared that the country witnessed almost Rs 60 billion in loss in tourism industry due to the coronavirus pandemic and its impacts.

He also said that the government was ready to revive the tourism sectors from all possible measures.
