Shikhar Municipality in Doti reports 40 COVID-19 cases



DHANGADHI: Shikhar Municipality in Doti has witnessed 40 new cases of COVID-19 cases on Monday.

According to Ramesh Malasi, the Chief of District Health Office Doti, the PCR tests conducted in Dadeldhura Hospital revealed that 40 people from the municipality have contracted coronavirus.

He informed that the PCR test of 40 India returnees of Ward No. 5, 7, 8 and 10 of the living in different quarantines came out with coronavirus positive result.

With this, the number of coronavirus cases in the district has reached to 585 out of which 537 have already been discharged after recovery.

There are 48 persons in Doti’s isolation now.

Similarly, one girl of 15 of Gauriganga-5, Kailali has also tested coronavirus positive in the test carried out in Seti Provincial Hospital.

According to Ministry of Health and population with 41 new cases of today, the number of coronavirus cases in Sudurpaschim has reached 4,095.

Out of these all cases, 1, 679 have returned home after recovery. Eight people have lost life due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the province.
