Coronavirus kills 79, 533, infects 2,099,896 in Brazil

KATHMANDU:  The death toll from Coronavirus in Brazil has crossed 79,000 in the last six months. According to Worldometer, the death toll has reached 79, 533 after 716 new deaths were reported.

With new 24,650 cases in a single day, the number of infection cases has surged to 2,099,896 so far.

Currently, 603,990 people are undergoing treatment at various hospitals in the country, of which 8,318 are critical. Meanwhile, 1,366,775 have recovered after treatment.

According to Worldometer, 649,134 are undergoing treatment at various hospitals in the country, of which, 1,371,229 have returned home after treatment.

Broke out in Wuhan City of China on December 31, 2019, the Coronavirus has spread to 13 countries including two international conveyances, killing 608,987 and infecting  14,647,584 people so far.
