Heavy rains to continue until Thursday



KATHMANDU: Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) has forecast heavy rains in various parts of the country for the next three days.

With low pressure monsoon trough approaching towards Nepal, the monsoon is getting more active and causing rains throughout the country.

According to a weather bulletin issued by the MFD this morning, the weather is generally to fully cloudy causing rains throughout the country including the Kathmandu Valley.

The rain is likely to occur in some places of Pradesh 1, Pradesh 2, Bagmati Pradesh, Pradesh 5 and Gandaki Pradesh and in one or two places of Sudurpashchim Pradesh and Karnali Pradesh.

Likewise, moderate rain is expected in some places of Pradesh 1, Pradesh 2, Bagmati Pradesh, Gandaki Pradesh, Pradesh 5 and Sudurpashchim Pradesh tonight.

Meanwhile, the MFD has advised people living near the river banks to take precaution against the floods and land landslides in various parts of the country.
