Women arrested for distributing bank notes tested negative for COVID-19

JANAKPURDHAM: The swab tests of two women who were arrested on charge of spreading COVID-19 by scattering the bank notes on the road in Janakpur were tested negative for the coronavirus.

After their arrest, they were tested via PCR in Janakpur State Hospital and were found negative for coronavirus on Sunday.

Acting Chief of the Hospital Laboratory Department Ram Binya Sah said a woman was tested positive via rapid diagnostic test (RDT) yesterday but both are tested negative via PCR today.

The women were found scattering the bank notes on the roads at Mahabirchowk of Janakpur at around 12:30 pm on April 17. They were arrested on Saturday with the help of CCTV footage.
