KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has opened three temporary vegetable markets in Kathmandu from Sunday.

The temporary vegetable markets have started in Baphal, Swayambhu and Kalanki as the vegetable markets in Balkhu and Kalimati have been closed due to the fear of coronavirus spread.

The KMC had earlier decided to open temporary vegetable markets in 11 places in the capital. The decision could not be implemented effectively owing to some ‘managerial’ reasons.
