Nepali Embassies close over COVID-19 fear

KATHMANDU: Nepali embassies have closed down after COVID-19 started spreading at an alarming rate throughout the globe.

Some embassies had earlier issued notice suggesting not visiting embassies except in emergency cases and they have been asking Nepalis there to contact virtually.

The Nepali Embassy in France said that the embassy will be closed until further notice after COVID-19 started spreading its wings in the country causing 254 deaths.

Likewise, embassies in Brussels and Geneva too have closed down.

Earlier, the Nepali embassy in Australia had requested Nepalis there to contact the embassy only in the case of emergency and the Nepali Embassy in the UAE had closed down from Tuesday until further notice.
