NA members debate on MCC

KATHMANDU: The meeting of the National Assembly (NA) on Sunday debated on Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC).

At the special hour of the meeting, lawmaker Komal Oli said that the US Embassy in Kathmandu has already made it clear that MCC was not linked to any military alliance.

She urged the political parties to clarify on MCC while alleging the government for failing to come clear on the MCC issue.

However, lawmaker Rajkumar Kunwar raised doubts that it would invite foreign intervention if it is endorsed.

Meanwhile, lawmaker Ramesh Jung Rayamajhi criticized Prime Minister K P Oli for working from his official residence in Baluwatar by ignoring SIngha Durbar.

The next meeting of the NA is slated for Monday at 1 pm.
