HoR meeting: Four bills to be tabled today



KATHMANDU: The House of Representatives (HoR) under the Federal Parliament is scheduled to meet today. The meeting, which will be held at Singha Durbar at 1:00 pm, has an agenda that includes the presentation of four separate bills.

According to the Federal Parliament Secretariat, today’s agenda also includes oral questions related to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Youth, Labour and Employment, which will be answered by the respective ministers.

During the meeting, Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle is scheculed to table the Employees Provident Fund (Tenth Amendment) Bill, 2083.

Likewise, Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Sobita Gautam will present the Reconciliation (Second Amendment) Bill, 2083.

Similarly, Minister for Youth, Labour and Employment Ramji Yadav is slated to present the Child Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Bill, 2083.

In addition, Minister Gautam, on behalf of Prime Minister Balendra Shah, will present a proposal to consider the Remuneration, Conditions of Service and Facilities of Officials of Constitutional Bodies (First Amendment) Bill, 2083.

She is also scheduled to present, on behalf of the prime minister, a proposal to pass the Bill to Revive the Previous Provisions of the Nepal Special Service Act, 2042 (2083) along with the report of the State Affairs and Good Governance Committee.
