NC submits memorandum against IT bill



KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress (NC) today submitted a memorandum about the controversial Information Technology Bill and the Bill on Special Service to Prime Minister KP Oli from all the 77 districts.

NC leaders and cadres submitted the memorandum to the chief district offers of the districts at the respective district administration offices.

The opposition party cadres organized a rally in Kathmandu from Maitighar Mandala to the District Administration Office at Babarmahal and submitted the memorandum.

NC has been reiterating its claim saying that the bills if endorsed, would restrict people’s right to privacy and freedom of expression.
