Engineer dies in Makwanpur road mishap



MAKWANPUR A motorcyclist died at Rajaiya of Manahari Rural Municipality-9 in Makwanpur district after a bus hit him this afternoon.

Spokesperson of District Police Office Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Indra Bahadur Rana said that motorcyclist Dipendra Adhikari, 28, of Bharatpur Metropolitan City-7 died after a bus (Ba 3 Kha 9664) hit his motorcycle from the opposite direction along the East-West Highway.

Adhikari was an engineer at the Office of Bakaiya Rural Municipality, Makwanpur.

Rural Municipality’s Chairman Damodar Khanal said that Adhikari was infected with coronavirus and was heading to home isolation in Chitwan from Makwanpur.

It is said that seriously hurt Adhikari breathed his last while receiving treatment at Churehill Hospital in Hetauda.
