Ownership of all must for success of Constitution: NC President



KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that the Constitution should be implemented in its letter and spirit. Furthermore, ownership of all is essential for the success of the national charter.

In a message today on the occasion of the 5th Constitution Day, he has also wished that the Day inspires us all to guide the country towards the path of economic prosperity through the protection of the Constitution and institutional stability of federal democratic republic system.

“On this day today we need to resolve to ensure prosperity of the country, along with successful enforcement of the Constitution amidst various challenges,” he said.

Pointing out that activities are being carried against the spirit of the Constitution, instead of completing the remaining task of successfully bringing the national charter into effect, the leader of the main opposition party has also urged the government to follow a democratic conduct as per the norms of the democratic Constitution.

In the message, Deuba has extended best wishes to all Nepalis at home and abroad on this occasion, while paying tributes to the known and unknown martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the establishment of democracy in the country.
