71-yr-old woman succumbs to COVID-19 in Dharan



DHARAN: A Septuagenarian has died in the course of treatment at BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan on Wednesday morning.

According to Dr Nidesh Sapkota, the information Officer for the Institute, the deceased is a 71-year-old woman from Dharan Sub Metropolitan City-15. She succumbed to the virus at 11:15 am today.

She had been admitted to BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences on August 7 after she showed symptoms similar to the coronavirus.

The test report of her swab sample collected on August 8 came out positive for coronavirus.

She had also been suffering from asthma and cardiac related problems.
