COVID-19 recovery rate in Karnali Province at 87 pc



SURKHET: Karnali Province has witnessed an increase in the number of people recovering from coronavirus infection of late.

According to a statement issued by the Karnali Province Ministry of Social Development on Saturday, 17 people recovered and returned home only on Saturday.

Dr. Laxminarayan Tiwari, Chief of the Health Services Division at the Ministry said that 1,510 people have recovered from coronavirus in the province so far.

“The number of confirmed coronavirus cases has reached 1,737,” said Dr. Tiwari, “Eighty-seven percent of the total infected people have recovered and returned home.”

He added that 213 COVID-19 patients are currently undergoing treatment at hospitals and isolation centers.

Likewise, the infection rate in the province is declining.

According to the Ministry, coronavirus infection was confirmed in only four people on Saturday.
