PM Oli congratulates medics on recovery of second COVID-19 patient



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Oli has congratulated doctors and health workers involved successfully treating second COVID-19 patient of Nepal.

The 19-year-old girl got discharged from the Teku-based Shukraraj Tropical & Infectious Disease Hospital earlier today.

The prime minister took to Twitter to congratulate medics on Saturday soon after finding out the second COVID-19 patient got discharged this afternoon after 27 days of treatment.

“Second COVID-19 patient has been discharged from hospital after fully recovering,” PM Oli said in a tweet, “Congratulations to doctors, health workers and all those involved in treatment and along with wishes for her wellness.”

The girl had arrived in Nepal from France via Qatar transit on March 17. Two other passengers boarding the same flight too were also tested positive for coronavirus.

Currently, Nepal has 28 active COVID-19 cases.
