Prez Bhandari grants sentence commutation to 329 prisoners



KATHMANDU: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has commuted the sentence of 329 prisoners on the occasion of Democracy Day.

The commutation was given to the prisoners in accordance with Article 276 of the Constitution of Nepal, the Office of President said in a statement on Tuesday.

The jailbirds who have already served 50 percent of jail term and showed good characters were recommended for commutation.
