Reconstruction of Dubar High School completes



KATHMANDU: The reconstruction of the historic Durbar High School (Bhanu Secondary School) has been over.

Built in traditional form, the materials were used modern for this school.

In the beginning, the materials used for it were mud, brick, pulse as adhesive, and lime. With the reconstruction of the High School, the construction company official will monitor it and hand over to the government by mid-February.

Currently, the sanitation in the premises of the school is going on to beautify the building.

The four-story building has 40 rooms. It cost Rs 850 to complete the school. A total of 100 workers were mobilized every day for it.

The reconstruction was completed in 19 months.

Established in 1910 BS by then Prime Minister Jung Bahadur Rana for educating the children of Rana family, the historic school was later opened to the children of common Nepalis since 1964BS.

After the introduction of the National Education System in 2030BS, the school had been running via the District Education Office.

Although the students of the Durbar High School belonged to the aristocratic family while the present are those of workers, said Badri Dahal, Principal at Sanskrit Secondary School.
