NCP Secretariat meeting postponed for Sunday



KATHMANDU: A Secretariat meeting of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) scheduled for today has been postponed.

The central Secretariat meeting called for today to implement the decisions of the Standing Committee (SC) meeting held recently has been rescheduled for September 20.

Talking to Khabarhub, NCP’s Spokesperson Narayan Kaji Shrestha said the date for the Secretariat meeting has been postponed for Sunday due to the celebration of Constitution Day today and tomorrow.

Chairman duo Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and Pushpa Kamal Dahal in a meeting on Wednesday had set the date for the Secretariat meeting.

The SC meeting held on September 11 had made decisions on various issues including the government’s performance, party organization, general convention of the party, border disputes, Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), terms of reference of two chairmen, coronavirus control and prevention among others.

The meeting to be held on coming Sunday will dwell on the implementation of these decisions.

According to sources, the Secretariat meeting will take place at Perisdanda in Koteshwor, the central party headquarters of then CPN (Maoist Center).

NCP is holding its meeting at Perisdanda for the first time following the unification between the two communist parties.
