Seven fatalities reported, Nepal’s COVID-19 death toll reaches 114



KATHMANDU: Nepal’s death toll from the coronavirus has reached 114 as of Tuesday afternoon after seven deaths reported in the last 24 hours.

Speaking at a regular press briefing this afternoon, Spokesperson at the Ministry Dr. Jageshwor Gautam said that one man each Kavre, Morang, Nawalparasi, Dhanusha, Banke and Kaski and one woman from Tanahun have died of the coronavirus.

A total of 12 people have died of the coronavirus in Province 1, 47 in Province 2 and 19 in Bagmati Province, eight in Gandaki Province, 14 in Province 5, four in Karnali Province and eight in Sudurpaschim Province so far.

Nepal confirmed 1,016 new cases in the last 24 hours that took the national tally to 28,257.

Meanwhile, as many as 17,580 have recovered across the country so far. As many as 85 have been discharged from hospitals and isolation centers in the last 24 hours, he shared.
