62-yr-old dies from coronavirus in Banke



KATHMANDU: One more person has died from coronavirus in Banke district.

A 62-year-old man of Nepalgunj Sub metropolitan City-5 passed away in the course of treatment at Nepal Medical College at 11:45 pm on Monday night.

According to District Corona Focal Person Naresh Shrestha, the deceased’s PCR test report came out positive on Monday.

On August 16, he had been admitted to the hospital after showing symptoms similar to the coronavirus.

Pneumonia was detected in his lung and died after his condition deteriorated, Shrestha added.

The number of deaths from coronavirus has reached four in Banke district alone. However, it is yet to be confirmed by the Ministry of Health and Population officially.
