Man held for slaughtering cow



CHITWAN: Police held an individual from Chitwan in charge of slaughtering cow. The arrestee is Hanup Tamang of Duisayabigha of Kalika Municipality-3 in the district, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Surya Bahadur Thapa.

Police arrested Hanup while the latter was sharing the beef at the house of local Santa Bahadur Tamang.

DSP Thapa added that four others involved in the case have fled the scene. The beef seized there is buried at the presence of people’s representatives there and veterinarians.

The police said that a search for those absconding is on and the investigations into the case are initiated.
