Karnali Highway obstructed by landslide



KALIKOT: Kalikot road stretch under the Karnali Highway has been obstructed by landslides caused by rain at various places, stranding passengers and vehicles.

Landslips have occurred at Sunarkhola, Pili and Manma obstructing the road, said chief of the district police office, Kalikot, Shyam Babu Oliya.

Similarly, flooding in the local river at Takulla of Tilagufa municipality has also blocked transportation, said mayor of the municipality Ratan Bahadur Shahi.

Efforts were underway to clear the obstructed road with the help of local people, police and a dozer, said Oliya.
