98 police donate blood in Nepalgunj



NEPALGUNJ: As an attempt to prevent the scarcity of blood in this monsoon period in lockdown imposed to curb coronavirus pandemic, District Police Office Banke in coordination of some other organization has organized blood donation campaign on Saturday.

According to SP Om Bahadur Rana, District Police Office Banke and Community Service Center Banke have jointly organized a blood donation campaign to address the demand of blood in the monsoon season.

He informed that 101 persons including 98 from Nepal Police donated blood in the program.

SP Rana regarded the program as most relevant to address the scarcity of blood during coronavirus pandemic.

“Praying that none would lose their life due to the scarcity of blood,  our unit decided to actively promote the program,” he said.

Ram Bahadur Kurunmbang, the Chief District Officer of Banke had been in the program to applaud the deed.
