KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress (NC) has condemned the physical assault on Kerabari rural municipality’s chair in Morang, Rohit Bahadur Karki.
Local Kishore Singh Thakuri is alleged of attacking the people’s representative elected from the NC with a Khukuri, leaving him seriously injured.
According to the party, Karki has suffered cuts to his nape and hand. He is being treated at the Biratnagar-based Nobel Hospital.
The party has, through a press note today, demanded stern action against the accused, wishing for speedy recovery of the injured.
