8 test COVID-19 positive in PCR test at Koshi Hospital

Samples sent to Kathmandu for reconfirmation



KATHMANDU: Eight people in hide in a mosque located at Triyuga Municipality 3, Bhulke, in Udayapur are found coronavirus positive.

When the swab collected with the help of security forces and medics was tested in Koshi Provincial Hospital, 8 out of 10 people hiding in the mosque were found COVID-19 positive.

After getting the news about some people are taking secret shelter in a mosque, a team of health workers and security forces was sent to the Bhulke based mosque on Tuesday to collect their swab.

According to the spokesperson at the Ministry for Social Development of Province 1 Divya Raj Kattel, their report was found positive has been sent to Kathmandu for further reconfirmation.

Earlier, after finding their sample positive in rapid diagnostic test, the samples were sent to Koshi Provincial Hospital. The PCR test also showed their result positive.

The Ministry for Health and Population has not verified the number yet as the result of final samples sent to Kathmandu has not come yet.
