Discussion at Baluwatar on sending stranded people to home



KATHMANDU: The government is making preparations to send people marooned due to lockdown to their destinations.

The High-Level Coordination Committee on the Prevention and Containment of COVID-19 discussed the issue on Friday.

The committee members are holding a discussion with Prime Minister KP Oli at Baluwatar before reaching a conclusion. Other Cabinet ministers to have joined the meeting.

The committee is for either providing relief package to stranded people or sending them to their destinations.

People, particularly students and daily wagers, have been leaving Kathmandu Valley on foot amid the extended lockdown.
