33 medics flown from Kathmandu to Dhangadhi



DHANGADHI: With the increasing threats of COVID-19 pandemic in Far-Western Province, a team of 33 medics has been flown to Dhangadhi from Kathmandu on Friday.

To help the province thought most vulnerable from COVID-19 especially due to the returnees from India, the federal government has sent 33 medics from Kathmandu on Friday.

The team will help the province team in identifying and taking care of coronavirus patients.

The team is sent Dhangadhi via Yeti Airlines aircraft.

Social Development Ministry of the province said that it has been planning to send the doctors to different districts as per the local necessity.

“We are planning to send the medics to various hospitals including Seti Provincial Hospital as per the prospective patient’s pressure in the locality,” Dr. Guna Raj Awasthi, the Director at Provincial Health Directorate said.

There are 5 coronavirus cases in the far-western province till date. All 5 are undergoing treatment in Dhangadhi based Seti Provincial Hospital.
