MELBOURNE: Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison has said that social distancing measures could remain until a vaccine against novel coronavirus is developed.
PM Morrison said this could take a year, adding that social distancing is very important for foreseeable future.
According to him, measures of maintaining physical distance will not be relaxed until there’s a vaccine.
He said some estimates could take a year or even 18 months.
It should be noted that the Australian government has imposed measures in the wake of the pandemic – that limit gatherings to two or more than two people.
The government has also urged its citizens to stay at home.
Likewise, the Australian government has also suspended non-essential activities.
