Three held on khukuri attack charge

DANG: Police have arrested three individuals on the charge of attacking 23-year-old Hira Dangi with a khukuri in Tulsipur Sub-metropolitan City in the district.

According to DSP Harinath Yogi, the arrested are Anup Basnet, Sushil Basnet, 22, and Amik Khadka, 22, of Tulsipur Sub-metropolitan City-6.

Acting on a tip-off, a special squad of Nepal Police arrested them from their hideout in Beltakura village on Monday evening, informed DSP Yogi.

Critically injured Dangi succumbed to his injuries while being rushed to Kathmandu for further treatment.

A gang including Anup Basnet brutally attacked Dangi with sharp weapons at Tarigaun airport on Sunday night.
