Nepal Republic Party warns China for provoking NCP against MCC

KATHMANDU: Nepal Republic Party has condemned attempts of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) to drag the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MMC) into dispute.

Issuing a statement, party’s Chairman Siddhartha Gautam accused China of provoking the ruling party against the US assistance.

“It is now clear that China has been provoking NCP against MCC in an attempt to create a negative impression of US in Nepal by creating unnecessary debates over the US assistance,” the party said in the statement.

The party has warned the ruling party to get the Compact endorsed through the Parliament.
