‘Dream comes true’: Santosh Shah to clad in Dhaka topi in ‘Masterchef UK Professionals’ finale



KATHMANDU: Nepal’s Santosh Shah is set to wear a Nepali Dhaka topi, a hat which is popular in Nepal and which forms part of Nepali national dress, in the grand finale of ‘BBC Master Chef UK Professionals.’

In a post on Facebook, Shah said that BBC has allowed him to wear Dhaka topi in the finale of the popular cookery TV show in the UK.

“This is called ‘Dream comes true.’ Dhaka topi in Masterchef. Thank you BBC for allowing me to wear my national hat in the Masterchef Professionals 2020,” he said in the post.

Shah has made it to the top three of ‘Master Chef UK 2020’ broadcast by BBC.

Shah has been selected as the top three finalists of Master Chef Professional UK Contest 2020’, the world’s famous reality show of BBC.

He had served fried chili and salt, fried beaten rice, golden Puri (deep-flat fried bread), crab curry, lettuce curry, a pickle made from soybean, roasted mutton spiced with jimbu and pudina paratha and dish made from onions this time.
